Walk the famous route to Santiago, featuring Avila, Segovia and Sevilla.

A stunningly powerful pilgrimage in the footsteps of the Spanish Saints, featuring the final part of the famous Way to Santiago de Compostela. Join us for a deeply transformative experience on the ancient French route to Santiago as we journey to the resting place of the Apostle James, the disciple of Christ.

2021 MAY – To be defined

A pilgrimage of inspiration, activity and deep silence in some of the most significant places in Spain, featuring Avila and Segovia and the sacred places of Saint Teresa and Saint John of the Cross. Walking the final 110 km of the famous Cammino di Santiago (UNESCO World Heritage site) we will cross small villages typical of the Galicia region, arriving at the millennial pilgrimage point and onwards to Santiago, with a visit to the casket of Saint James. We culminate the Spanish experience flying to Sevilla and spending two nights there with the special visit to the casket of King Ferdinand III, with the uncorrupted body.

Our walk will be filled with blessings as we follow the famous way that has been traversed by hundreds of thousands of pilgrims over the centuries. Santiago, along with Rome and Jerusalem, is considered one of the three most important sites in Christian tradition.

Practically speaking, in order to participate in this pilgrimage a physical condition that allows you to easily walk 16 km per day (on average) for 7 consecutive days is required. Each day, there will be moments dedicated to practising Yogananda’s spiritual exercises, such as the Energisation Exercises and meditation on the breath.

Nayaswami Indrani, Gopala Aschieri and Lakshmi D’Alessio will accompany you on this extraordinary journey, expert guides of Ananda Italy and Spain who will take care of you to make this pilgrimage a joyful and rewarding experience for body, mind and soul. At the beginning you will receive the pilgrim’s ‘credential paper’ to testify to and remember your personal journey.
